Sixteen town hall meetings throughout the state have given the Public Service Commission a greater understanding of public concerns about anticipated higher natural gas bills. And, PSC chairman Kelvin Simmons hopes they also have helped the public understand the commission can dolittle to retard those increases. Simmons says he hopes people were listening when the commisison and others talked about ways to reduce bills. He says there is some good news that could lower the increased prices. Simmons says more natural gas thanusual is being put into storage for useduring the winter.
