Governor Bob Holden continues to lash out at his critics, and did so, today, at an event organized by one of those critics – the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. Holden accuses the State Chamber of focusing on the negatives surrounding the state’s economic picture, instead of focusing on the positives. He points out there is a more positive outlook from the local chambers. Missouri Chamber of Commerce President Dan Mehan defends his organization’s criticism of the Holden Administration’s policies, saying there is no getting around the fact that Missouri has led the nation in job losses over the last year. He adds the Governor is trying to tear people and groups apart, rather than build concensus. Today’s event took place at a resort at Lake of the Ozarks. The Governor delivered a similar message yesterday in Kansas City, criticizing state Republicans, as well.
