The U.S. Senate has approved $50,000 to erect a statue of Harry S. Truman at Kansas City’s Union Station atop a 20 foot high limestone pedestal that has remained empty since 1914. The funding measure must still be cleared by the U.S. House of Representatives, but Talent feels confident it will clear that hurdle.
