The Missouri leg of the Bush-Cheney ’04 re-election campaign has been launched with a kick-off in Jefferson City. Former GOP Chairman and Montana Governor Marc Racicot, the national Chairman of Bush-Cheney ’04, was on hand for the formal launch, which introduced theBush-Cheney Missouri Leadership Committee. Among the members of the Committee are U.S. Senators Christopher Bond and Jim Talent, former U.S. Senator John Danforth, Missouri House Speaker Catharine Hanaway, State Senate Leader Peter Kinder, and Secretary of State Matt Blunt. State Party Chairman Ann Wagner, Co-Chairman of the Republican National Committee, expresses confidence that the Bush-Cheney ticket will carry Missouri in 2004. She adds Republican activists will have to work hard as they did in 2002 to send Jim Talent to the U.S. Senate and to elect a Republican House in Jefferson City.
