What exactly is ailing Priest Holmes? It’s believed to be a bruised hip, though Dick Vermeil didn’t specifically point out the problem yesterday. But what is known is that Holmes didn’t practice on Wednesday. Instead, rookie running back Larry Johnson got most of the reps at tailback while Holmes worked out. Vermeil says Holmes is just banged up after last Sunday’s 41-20 win over the Steelers. The Chiefs enter this Sunday’s match up at Houston with a 2-0 record for the first time since 1996.
