Angel Berroa drove in three runs with an RBI single in the second and a two-run single in the third. On the mound, Jimmy Gobble held the Tigers in check through seven innings allowing two runs off five hits, striking out seven and walking none. Jeremy Affeldt worked the final two innings, giving up only a walk. The Royals trail the Twins and White Sox by three-and-a-half games. The Royals and Tigers wrap up their series tonight.
