Missouri’s new law letting people carry concealed weapons goes into effect October 11th – thirty days after the Legislature overrode the Governor’s veto of the bill. But licenses might not be available until next summer. The House sponsor of the bill, Larry Crawford of California, expects a lot of applications – but not immediate licensing. He says the state will have to certify trainers and training organizations. He adds that could be done within a few months.
