The Chiefs first quarter was one of concern for the team. The Steelers jumped out to an early 10-0 lead thanks to a Trent Green interception. But Dante Hall decided it was time to give the team a spark. He did it with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Even though the Steelters scored again to regain their 10-point lead, the mood had been set. Kansas City rolled to a 41-20 win over Pittsburgh at Arrowhead. The Chiefs defense allowed only a field goal in the final three quarters and Priest Holmes proved why he’s considered the best back in the NFL. He rushed for 122 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Chiefs improved to 2-0 on the season. Trent Green finished 15-21 with 125 yards, a touchdown pass and two interceptions. The Chiefs were able to get to Tommy Maddox, sacking the Steeler quarterback five times. Second-year player Ryan Sims had two sacks and Jerome Woods accounted for one three ineterceptions, taking one Maddox pick to the end zone.
