Governor Bob Holden takes a philosophical tone on losing two legislative battles as the General Assembly overrides his vetoes on a 24-hour abortion wait and a conceal and carry measure. Holden says he has no regrets about his vetoes and would do it again if given the chance. Holden says his real disappointment stems from the Legislature’s rejection of his $44-Million revenue package for education. Holden charges the Legislature didn’t spend any time trying to find extra money for the children of Missouri.
