The Legislature has voted to override two of Governor Bob Holden’s vetoes. The Senate has followed Wednesday’s action taken by the House, voting to override the veto of the bill requiring a 24 hour waiting period for a woman wanting an abortion and the veto of the conceal and carry gun law. The Senate voted 23 to 10 to override the gun veto and 25 to 8 on the waiting period veto. These vetoes are only the 17th and 18th in the history of the state.
