The Adam’s Mark Hotel in St. Louis is fighting back against a former clerk and her lawyers who accused the hotel of race discrinimation. The lawsuit was dismissed last month by a federal judge who strongly criticized clerk Debra Duff and her attorneys for filing it. Now, lawyers for the hotel are suing Duff and the lawyers. The hotel says it wants them to pay about $73,000 to reimburse it for its lawyer fees. The hotel lawsuit says Duff’s action was “frivolous.”
