Lawyers for former Kansas City druggist Robert Courtney will challenge his 30-year prison sentence for watering-down cancer drugs. They’ll argue for a shorter sentence when they go before the federal appeals court in St. Louis. Courtney’s lawyers say a plea agreement would have given him 17-and-a-half to 22 years instead of 30. The federal prosecutor says the 30 year term is “more than warranted.”
