Many believe Marc Bulger is the NFL’s best back-up quarterback, and that’s good news for the Rams since Bulger will probably be thrust into service this Sunday. Mike Martz said on Monday that Bulger would probably start in the Rams’ home opener against the 49ers. Kurt Warner suffered a concussion sometime in the first quarter against the Giants last Sunday. Doctors told Martz that Warner was OK to return and despite passing for 342 yards, he fumbled the ball six times. Giant defenders picked three of those fumbles up, as St. Louis lost to New York 23-13. Warner, however, thinks he can be ready to start, citing his last concussion. In the 2000 regular season finale, Warner suffered a concussion but started the next week in their wild-card loss to the Saints.
