The Royals and Diamondbacks made up a rained-out interleague game yesterday. Kansas City took a 4-1 lead early on, thanks to Aaron Guiel’s solo home run in the first and RBI’s from Carlos Beltran in the third and Ken Harvey and Angel Berroa in the fifth. Arizona bounced back with three runs off D.J. Carrasco in the seventh inning to tie it and took the lead with Alex Cintron’s single in the eighth inning. Ken Harvey sent the game to extra innings with a sacrifice fly that scored Beltran. But in the top of the tenth, Lance Overbay singled in Craig Counsell for the winning run. The loss dropped the Royals a game and a half behind the White Sox and Twins.
