Days before the start of a special legislative session dealing with education funding, Governor Bob Holden has hosted an education summit to get input from education leaders from throughout the state. He says lawmakers will do their work starting on Monday, so he wants information in advance of the start of the special session. Among those taking part in the event were representatives from the State Board of Education, the Missouri School Boards Association, the Missouri National Education Association, and the Missouri PTA.
