The Chiefs and Priest Holmes have come to terms. Holmes has agreed to a four-year contract extension, which means he won’t have to make good on his promise to sit out the season opener. He’s expected to get bonuses upwards of $10-million and a total of $35 over the next seven years. Holmes has led the league in yards from scrimmage in each of the last two years and was on his way to leading the league in rushing for the second straight season before his hip injury late in the 2003 season.
