Former Secretary of State Bekki Cook has decided she’s not done with campaigns and politics after all. She’ll run for the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor next year. Cook had thought she had been done with public office after six years as Secretary of State. She finished her time in that post in January of 2001. Cook says she decided to get back into campaigning when incumbent Joe Maxwell abruptly dropped his re-election plans last week.
