The Rams best lineman could be back with the team today. Orlando Pace is close to signing a new contract with the team, according to his agent, Carl Poston. The contract is a one-year deal worth $5.73-million as the team’s franchise player and is expected to continue to work towards another deal with a large signing bonus. Pace hasn’t practiced since last season, missing the team’s mini-camps and training camp. Pace was the first player taken in the 1997 draft and is a four-time Pro Bowl selection.
