Former University of Missouri basketball player Ricky Clemons has been released from the Boone County Jail, finishing his sentence for beating up his girlfriend. The girlfriend, Jessica Bunge, has told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch she’s disappointed in the way she has been treated by the University. She says the University has bascially ignored her while supporting Clemons – even to the point that school President Elson Floyd invited Clemons to a party at his home. The head of the University’s faculty council says several faculty members are not satisfied with the University’s handling of the Clemons situation and want changes in ways the University handles athletes who get into trouble. Bunge has left Columbia and is in school in Chicago.
