Reliever Jason Pearson surrendered seven tallies and saw his ERA explode to 63.00. The Cardinals dropped back to third place as the Cubs topped the Astros 12-4. Houston still has the lead in the National League Central and Chicago trails by a half-game. The Cardinals are one game out of first.
