The Missouri State fair starts in Sedalia today. Fair spokesman Kim Allen says perennial favorites at the fair are the livestock exhibits. Allen says the fair also offers plenty of big-name acts in the grand stand, plus free shows for the whole family. Some African-American groups have complained in the past there are no rap or urban music artists represented at the fair. Allen defends the entertainment line-up saying they’re trying to appeal to the biggest number of people possible.
