White Sox Drop Royals In Series Opener

July 30, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

This is definitely not the way the Royals envisioned this series starting. The Chicago White Sox pounded out 16 hits, including four home runs, in a 9-6 win over Kansas City on Tuesday. The Royals led the game 2-0 after three, but Chicago put the game away by scoring eight unanswered runs. K.C. starter Darrell May gave up all four Chicago home runs as he saw his five-game winning streak come to an end. Angel Berroa hit a three-run home run for the Royals, who now lead the White Sox by just three games in the A.L. Central.
