Former Lone Jack Police Chief William Abney has been charged with possessing cocaine. The charges say Abney was found at his home, having seizures on June 25th. A powder found nearby has tested positive as cocaine. The FBI has been investigating whether the cocaine was taken from the police department’s evidence room. No charge releating to that has been filed. Abney was fired as police chief shortly after the incident.
