The Cardinals and Dodgers didn’t have much use for sac flies and bunts on Sunday. Seemingly it was all or nothing for the two teams as St. Louis came away with a 10-7 win in Los Angeles. They combined for nine home runs, which is a Dodger Stadium record. The Cardinals got deep power from Scott Rolen, Eduardo Perez, Albert Pujols and Woody Williams. Pujols now has 20 on the season and 90 RBI’s. Williams, while not dominant, was good enough on Sunday to get his 13th win of the season. He allowed six runs off ten hits over seven innings. Jason Isringhausen gave up a hit and struck out two to get his seventh save of the season. After dropping the first two games of the series, the Cardinals bounced back to split the four-game set. The win allowed them to keep pace with the Astros who hold a three game advantage of St. Louis in the National League Central.
