July 16, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The lawsuit charging the University of Missouri has illegally charged students tuition for years is headed to the State Supreme Court. The State Appeals Court in St. Louis has transferred the case to the higher court, which – it says – has sole jurisdiction because state laws are involved. The lawsuit wants the university to refund $450-Million to students who paid tuition as far back as 1993.The suit says an old state law prohibited the University from charging tuition for qualified students 18-to-21 years of age.
