The state is going to provide financial assistance to several Missouri communities and low-income residents stricken by the series of tornadoes that hit in May. The State Department of Natural Resources’ Outreach and Assistance Center has made $3.35-Million available in funds to help communities rebuild. The financial assistance is geared toward communities most severely affected by the twisters, such as Carl Junction, Stockton, and Pierce City, although others could be eligible as well.
