Evangelist At Odds With St. Louis Nightclubs

July 14, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Evangelist Larry Rice is feuding with operators of some night clubs near his homeless shelter in St. Louis. Rice says the two clubs are bad for the neighborhood. Operators of the clubs say the homeless shelters are bad for their businesses because of aggressive panhandling, thefts and car break-ins. One nightclub operator tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Rice’s shelter is a blight on downtown St. Louis. One of Rice’s associates says the nightclubs are noisy and disorderly.
