The nation’s fifth-most popular zoo is in Missouri. Although, it’s only the third-largest zoo in the state. The St. Louis Zoo drew 2.9-Million visitors last year – more than the National Zoo in Washington; more than the Bronx Zoo in New York; and almost as many as the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. The Disney Animal Kingdom in Florida is number one, with more than eight-million visitors last year. The St. Louis Zoo, however is only 90-acres, smaller than zoos in Kansas City and Springfield.
