Social Services Chief Trying To Cope With Budget Cuts

The head of the state’s biggest agency is losing more than 100 people and more than $6-Million because of budget cuts and withholdings. Director Steve Roling at the Department of Social Services says the state budget is challenging and requires priorities to be set. Roling says middle management has taken the biggest hit. He says he’s tried to keep cuts from affecting front line employees as much as possible.
