Michael Tucker’s solo home run highlighted a two-run fifth inning. Ken Harvey drove in the game-winning run in the sixth as the Royals won their third straight game. Jeremy Affeldt (5-4) picked up the victory, giving the Tigers just two runs on five hits in seven innings of work. The Royals and Tigers continue their four-game weekend series tonight at Kaufmann Stadium. Nate Cornejo (3-6) will oppose Chris George (9-5).
