The Royals are back in first place after topping the Indians 6-3. Jose Lima improved to 3-0 after seven strong innings. Lima lasted seven innings and allowed five hits and two runs. Jason Grimsley gave up a run in the ninth and turned it over to Mike MacDougal. He hit a batter to load the bases in the ninth inning, but got out of the jam to earn his 21st save of the season. Joe Randa, who was in a six-for-39 slump, hit a three run homer in the second inning and drove in another run with a double in the fourth. With the win the Royals moved back into first place in the American League Central, taking a half game advantage over the Twins. Starting pitcher Kyle Snyder will have an MRI on his right shoulder. He left with tightness after four innings on Monday.
