Top Seeded Harbour Survives at MoAm

Top-seeded Casey Harbour needed 19 holes to put away 64th-seeded Kent Phillips of Cape Girardeau at the Missouri Amateur Golf championship in Springfield. Four-time champ Don Bliss won’t win his fifth title this season. The 51-year old St. Louisan was knocked out. So was 1986 champ David Lucks who fell to 2002 runner up David Jenkins. Jenkins is a member of the Mizzou golf team. Two of the other three former Missouri Amateur Champions are still in the field. Skip Berkmeyer and Wayne Frederick advanced while Chuck Greene was eliminated.
