Perry Keeping Optimistic

June 26, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

He’s an outside shot at best to get drafted but that hasn’t dashed Marquee Perry’s hopes of playing basketball for a living. Perry will still be tuned in tomorrow night as the NBA holds it’s annual draft. At 6-1 Perry knows he has to limit any flaws from his game. Since his career at Saint Louis University ended this spring, he’s been working on his outside shot and ball handling ability everyday. He’s currently at home in Chicago, staying with his family and that’s where he’ll watch the draft tomorrow. If he isn’t picked, Perry will go to Germany for an exposure camp, where he hopes to attract the attention of a European team. Perry averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season. He finished as the Billikens 10th all-time leading scorer.
