All the hype over the release of the latest Harry Potter book is ignored by many people, but may have played a role in a Kansas City mail carrier losing her job. Kenia Cooper claims she was fired for accidentally handing out the book one day too soon. Cooper says she picked up the daily mail from the Westport post office where she worked, sorted her deliveries and left. But a single copy of the Harry Potter book was inside the stash and slipped past whoever divided up the mail. The book was marked with a notice not to deliver it until June 21st, but Cooper didn’t see it. She delivered it to the person to whom it was addressed. Cooper insists she was never tuned into all the Harry hype and was simply doing her job. The post office claims Cooper was only suspended.
