A bit of a surprise at Friday’s meeting of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen. Several activists disrupted the gathering to demand the Board investigate the circumstances surrounding arrests made at last month’s World Agricultural Forum in St. Louis. The group claims police overstepped their bounds in arresting protesters at the Forum. The activists who showed up at City Hall began shouting and waving signs from the balcony and left after they were ordered escorted from the chamber. At a news conference later, the group called for a civilian review board to look into allegations of police improprieties.
