Foreman To Address SMSG

June 19, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Show-Me State Games will have a really big speaker at their opening ceremonies this year. He’s big in size and stature. George Foreman will address the crowd at the Hearnes Center in Columbia on July 18. Foreman won’t be able to stay long, as he has other engagements that day and the next. In 1994 Foreman became the oldest person to win the heavyweight boxing title when he beat Michael Moore at the age of 45. Moore was 26. Since then Foreman has made a name for himself by selling a line of grills bearing his name. He was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame earlier this year. Foreman joins George Bush Sr., Bruce Jenner, Dick Enberg, Mia Hamm and Ozzie Smith as celebrities who have spoken at the opening ceremonies. The 19th annual Show-Me State Games will get underway on July 18th.
