Ford Sued By Family Of Highway Patrolman Killed In Crash

June 18, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The family of a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer killed in a traffic crash last month is suing Ford Motor Company. So is the family of a man who was a passenger in the patrolman’s Crown Victoria, who is still hospitalized with burns. The lawsuit charges Ford has been negligent in its placement of the fuel tank in Crown Vics. The patrol car burst into flames when it was rear-ended on the shoulder of Interstate 70. The trooper could not get out.
