Budget Cuts Close Four Liquor Control Offices

June 17, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Division of Liquor Control has closed four of its district offices because of budget cuts. Offices in Jefferson City, Cape Girardeau, Springfield, and Kirksivlle have been closed. Since March, the Division has gotten rid of more than one-fourth of its workers. The Division is left with three offices and 58 employees to watch over 12,000 licensed bars and restaurants.
