One thing’s for sure; the Royals are full of surprises. They took two of three from the Giants this weekend and came away with a 5-4 win yesterday. Kansas City’s only lead came once the final score was posted. Trailing 4-3 in the ninth inning, Angel Berroa doubled off Tim Worrell. After walking Aaron Guie, Mike Sweeney stepped to the plate with two outs and belted a two-run single, ending the game. Jose Lima made his first start as a Royal, going six innings allowing four runs off six hits and failed to get the decision. That went to Mike MacDougal who wored around a hit in the top of the ninth to improve to 2-3 on the season. The victory moved them up to 33-32 on the season and it put them four games behind Minnesota. The Twins come to Kansas City tomorrow for the first of three.
