The Senate has finished its work on the four budget bills vetoed by Governor Holden and sent back to the Legislature. The Senate has voted to approve its versions of budget bills for public schools, higher education, social services, and health and mental health. Senator John Russell of Lebanon says the House and Senate versions call for different amounts of money to be spent but that will be addresed. The House voted on its versions of the bills last week. The House-Senate conference committee will probably meet on Tuesday.
