A wrongful death lawsuit filed in St. Louis claims years of suffering at the hands of a Roman Catholic priest pushed a former Marine to kill himself through a drug overdose. The father of Christopher Klump filed the suit in St. Louis Circuit Court, seeking unspecified damages against the Reverend Michael McGrath, the Archdiocese of St. Louis and Archbishop Justin Rigali. Allen Klump claims his son took a deliberate cocaine overdose shortly after learning the statute of limitations prevented the filing of criminal charges against McGrath. McGrath was removed from active priesthood in 1997.
