Indiana Company Moving To St. Louis

June 11, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

Intense lobbying has paid off. The Solae Company, which makes specialty food ingrediants, has decided to move from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to St. Louis. Solae is a joint venture between DuPont and Bunge and has 400 employees in St. Louis. It had considered moving everything to Fort Wayne, where it had acquired a research and manufacturing facility from Centra Soya Company. More than half the company’s 130 Fort Wayne employees will be given the option to move to St. Louis. The rest will be let go.
