The Royals lost 8-7 to the Rockies, a day after taking two in a double header. After trailing 4-0 after one inning, the Royals rallied for two runs in the second and three more in the third and another in the fifth to take a 6-4 lead. But in the bottom half of the inning, the Rockies rallied for three runs. Rick DeHart walked in the tying run and Jason Gilfillan walked in the go-ahead run. Colorado never trailed after taking the 7-6 lead. Kansas City took two of three from Colorado. Starting pitcher Jason Grimsley left the game with a blister on his middle finger. Grimsley has been plagued with blisters on the finger, but the one that formed yesterday shouldn’t keep him out of his next start.
