The Missouri State High School Activities Association crowned two state champions in baseball yesterday. At Taylor Stadium in Columbia, Valley Park earned the Class 2 title with a 3-2 win over Clearwater. In Class 1, Sparta won its first title with a 5-2 victory over Oran. Today Classes 3 and 4 will play their semi-finals game, weather permitting. In Class 3, North County Bonne Terre taking on Grain Valley and St. Charles West facing Willard. In Class 4, Francis Howell and Lee’s Summit do battle and Parkway North takes on Joplin.
