Edgar Renteria and Tino Martinez drove in three runs apiece and Matt Morris pitched seven innings as the Cardinals beat the Blue Jays 11-5. Morris allowed nine hits and four runs, struck out four and walked none to earn his seventh win of the season. Toronto broke a scoreless tie in the third inning with a two-run rally. The Cardinals scored four times in the fifth to take the lead for good. They also scored four runs in the seventh inning, including Jim Edmonds’ 12th homer of the season. The dinger snapped an 0-15 slump for Edmonds.
