After nine seasons Central Missouri State, baseball coach Brad Hill said goodbye to become Kansas State’s new baseball coach. Hill took over for Dave Van Horn led the Mules to the NCAA Division II title in 1994 and moved on to Nebraska. Hill was 418-91 in those nine seasons, leading CMSU to four straight trips to the NCAA Division-II World Series in Montgomery, Alabama. He leaves at the pinnacle of his success in Warrensburg. The Mules won the D-II title on Saturday with an 11-4 win over the University of Tampa. Hill takes over for Mike Clark who had a dismal final season in Manhattan. The Wildcats were 15-37 with a 5-25 mark in the Big 12 in 2003. Clark resigned after 17 years on the job at Kansas State. Taking the job is a homecoming of sorts for Hill, who is a native of Galva, Kansas. He played his college baseball at Emporia State, was the head coach at Hutchinson (Ks.) Community College before joining the Kansas staff as an assistant.
