Mules Win D-2 Title

The Central Missouri State baseball team won the NCAA Division-II championship in Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday with an 11-4 win over the University of Tampa. The Mules trailed 4-3 after five innings, battling back for eight unanswered runs to claim its second national title in school history. Their first championship came in 1994. CMSU finished the season 51-7, going 4-0 in the national tournament. Third baseman Zach Norman, of Odessa, Missouri, pitcher Danny Powers of Carl Junction, Missouri and outfielder Danny Guidry were named to the All-Tournament team.
