Department Of Economic Development Working To Help Tornado-Damaged Businesses

May 28, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The Department of Economic Development is continuing its assessment of businesses damaged by the tornadoes that blasted the state earlier this month. Various federal and state agencies have been hard at work since the tornadoes struck, trying to help suffering Missourians get their lives back together. The Department of Economic Development is doing the same for businesses that were hard hit. The Department’s Sallie Hemenway says the main task is to learn completely about the impact on businesses. The teams are collecting the information … and forwarding that information along to agencies that could provide financial relief. Department teams will operate through this week – at least.
