Chiefs Pushing For 14 Playoff Teams, Players Helping Tornado Victims

May 21, 2003 By admin Leave a Comment

The NFL owners are getting together for their annual spring meetings. One of the proposals that will be discussed today is the idea of expanding the NFL playoffs from 12 to 14 teams. The proposal, sponsored by Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt, would require a three-fourths majority, or 24 votes to pass. In other Chiefs news, players will gather at a youth football complex in North Kansas City to help remove debris that was left after tornadoes ravaged the area earlier this month. The complex services over 120 football players and cheerleaders.
