The Missouri Tigers season is over. The softball team dropped an extra-innings 4-3 heart breaker to Notre Dame in the early game. It went to extra innings after Ashley Hayes hit the first home run of her college career. But the Irish scored in the eighth without getting a single hit. In the elimination round, the Tigers fell to Wright State 3-1. Wright State got into the regionals with a losing record after winning their conference tournament. Mizzou finished with a 31-20 record, dropping their last four games of the season. It was the first year for head coach Ty Singleton.
